The collection by Parvesh and Jai named “Salute to Feminity”, showcased the duo’s creativity even in bridal wear, without sticking to the run of the mill designs everyone is secretly sick of seeing.. While they used the usual bridal colours like pinks, purples, reds, greens, golds and silvers, they managed to make their saris, lehengas, gowns and tunics look super sexy and feminine at the same time. Zari, zardosi work, semi-precious crystals, resham used fabrics such as nets, velvets and chiffon look absolutely ethereal and glamorous.
Surface ornamentation techniques like appliqué, sequin work, embroidery, ruffles, cut-work created luxurious, lavish ensembles. What really caught our eye were the dresses designed using stiff 3-d forms of peacocks and paisley motifs which were standing away from the body drape. Peacock feathers on the front of the dresses added an artistic, unique look . Sequences of saris, lehengas, ghagras with jackets and bikini blouses, were all mesmerizing, guaranteed to make any bride look like a million bucks!
